Classic Cartomancy - Level 1
Classic Cartomancy Level 1 with J David Arcuri
Classic Cartomancy Workshop Level 1 - Course Description
Cartomancy, or divination with playing cards, predates Tarot. Playing cards were originally created for game play prior to the 14th century. The cards were quickly adapted to divination practices almost from the start. The modern system I teach is derived from the Spanish and Italian cartomancy traditions. Prior to the 1960s, and the beginning of the Tarot Renaissance, playing cards were the most popular method of cartomancy in the English-speaking world.
In this workshop you will join J David Arcuri to explore divination with the far-from-ordinary playing card deck. The playing cards can reveal your past present and future when you understand how to decipher the messages in the cards. This workshop includes individualized feedback on exercises specifically designed to help you build confidence and increase your accuracy as a reader of playing cards. You will learn everything you need to know to accurately tell fortunes with the 52-card classic playing card (poker) deck.
Required: 1 ordinary deck of 52-card playing cards with French Suit Symbols (♢♡♧♤). Any poker deck would be fine. You may want to avoid illustrated decks since we do not read card
imagery in classic cartomancy.

Master Predictive Cartomancer specializing in reading the 52-card Poker deck and La Vera Sibilla. Author of Art of Cartomancy blog.
I was raised in an Italian-American family where divination was a part of everyday life. My paternal grandmother read playing cards, coffee grounds and the crystal ball. She sparked my interest in the art of Cartomancy at a very young age.
I was introduced to La Vera Sibilla by a family friend from Italy. I was immediately enchanted by the deck. I began a serious study of La Vera Sibilla by following the online lessons from an Italian Sibilla master who teaches the traditional meanings and methods. I have an obsessive passion for all forms of Cartomancy. I also work with Lenormand, Oracle Belline, and Pages of Shustah.
